Dougal Shand

Managing Director & Team Leader

Dougal started Loans 2 Go to help people who needed short term personal and cash loans but who struggled to get their bank to take them seriously. His goal was to serve the financial needs of people who usually pay their debts back on time but are often overlooked by the big banks. With his extensive experience in financial services and the credit industries, Dougal was just the man for the job.

Dougal has a B.B.S degree from Massey University and is a Chartered Accountant. Dougal is a registered Financial Adviser. Check out Dougal's disclosure statement. Prior to starting Loans 2 Go Dougal worked in New Zealand, the US and Europe, as both Audit Manager and Management Consultant for KPMG and as Financial Controller for Auto Credit Trust in London.

What Dougal enjoys most about his role at Loans 2 Go is meeting customers, learning their stories and helping them get what they need through great financial advice and monetary support.

Dougal lives in Christchurch with his wife and three children. In his spare time, Dougal is a man of action. He loves mountain biking, jet boating and shooting clay birds. He’s an accomplished skier and qualified ski patroller. He also enjoys a good book, going to the theatre and adding to his large collection of rubber insects and loud, eccentric shirts. Dougal’s burning desire is to learn to fly airplanes and he’s indulged his passion of high flying by skydiving and flying on Concorde.

Jo

Administration Assistant

Joanna’s role at Loans 2 Go is as varied as her background. She has a BA degree from Canterbury University, a Nannying and Childcare Diploma, has worked in the Photo Archives at Alexander Turnbull Library in Wellington and as an Interior Designer in London.

Joanna is one of our friendly customer service people and not only looks after our customers but also assists the rest of the team with administration, filing and credit checks.

Joanna lives in Christchurch with her husband and three children. She loves mountain biking, walking , reading and spending time with her family. She once flew over the Victoria Falls on a microlite. She also enjoys gardening, cooking and traveling.

Martyn

Field Agent

Martyn is one of our friendly Christchurch mobile field agents. Visiting customers often after hours and all weather for signups and inspections.

With more than 15 years experience in finance here and abroad, Martyns wealth of knowledge is extensive.

In his spare time Martyn enjoys Home DIY, gardening and relaxing with his wife and family.

Tracy

Credit Controller

Tracy is a firm back stop in the application process, arrears specialist and ongoing administration of loans.

Is very knowledgable with over 13 years in the finance industry and previously owning her own Café .

Tracy lives just out of Christchurch with her husband and children on their lifestyle block and spends most of her free time renovating their home and looking after numerous pets including noisy chickens & roosters!

Barbara (Barbs)

Documentation Specialist

Documentation Specialist and Loan Administrator Barbs is an vital part of the loan process - disbursing loans, organising loan documentation, and administration of loans.

Barbs extensive experience in the banking and insurance industry is instrumental in her varied roles here.

In her spare time Barbs is kept very busy with her gorgeous garden, book club and Eddie the cat. Barb’s is looking forward to an upcoming wedding in Fiji for one of her children.

Linda

Loan and Administration Officer

Linda is another of our friendly loan officers, assessing and approving loans daily.

Comes to us with over 8 years Finance industry experience.

After flying a plane and racing super saloons in the ladies races at Eastern States and Kaikoura she enjoys putting her feet up, reading a great book while appreciating a large glass of merlot!

Jeni

Special Projects

Jeni has over 14 years experience in the Finance & Insurance industry and helps maintain content for our website , policies and procedures and assisting in the overflow with loan applications.

Jeni and her husband love home DIY, travelling and shopping! Best days of her life include her wedding day, a helicopter trip over the fox glacier, laps at Bathhurst and camping in Kruger National Park South Africa.
